Welcome polymaths !

Ever get the feeling that you seem to don't know what to do with your life because there are just so many things that you want to do ? I know, I've been there, so welcome to the club.

My name is Zigfred Diaz and I am a polymath. After more than 6 years of bloging about almost anything under the sun and having sort of a "blogging identity crisis." I've finally embraced who I am and decided to turn my main blog into some sort of guide for people with so much interest. Feel free to poke around.

Can’t upload to your host via FTP ? This could be your solution

December 10, 2007 by Zigfred Diaz Leave a Comment

I was suppose to launch my blog as early as the last week of September Unfortunately I encountered a barrage of technical problems that prevent me from doing so. In order that you could fully understand what I am talking about let me start from the beginning. I was scouting for a good hosting company and then Lunar Pages caught my eye. They offered $ 700 worth of free software (Coffee cup) if I signed up for a year. So I signed up for a hosting account at Lunar pages at the last week of September. I was so pissed off because they wouldn’t accept my credit that was the first bad experience I had with them. Later on I resolved the issue by paying them via paypal. After several days I wondered why my account was still not activated so I wrote them. They said paypal has not remitted the money to them. But paypal said the money has been paid to them. They had been passing the buck between them back and forth. I was so mad but I could not do anything because I already paid. The problem … [Read more...]

PRINCIPLES OF STEWARDSHIP

December 9, 2007 by Zigfred Diaz Leave a Comment

Among the many roles that I assume, one of the most important is being a Sunday school teacher at the Cebu Bible Baptist Church. I teach Sunday school to the career class together with Atty. Valeriano Loon and Prof. Roland Go. Last Sunday I talked about the Principles of Stewardship as laid down in the Bible. My Main text was Mathew 25:14-27. Jesus was talking here about the parable of the talents. The parable is as follows; the master leaves for a journey and leaves to his servants several talents. In Bible times money was in the form of rings of gold, silver, or brass and was weighted. The Talent represents a large amount of money. The amount of which varies depending on whether it was of silver or gold equivalent and whether it was light or heavy weight. The current value of a talent could be somewhere from 1,000 to 30,000 dollars.(U.S) One servant was given Five talents, the other two and the other one. When the master returned both servants that were given the five talents and … [Read more...]

The Top 10 Richest Filipino of 2007

December 7, 2007 by Zigfred Diaz 1 Comment

About the early part of the last quarter of this year, FORBES ASIA released their list of the Top 40 Richest people in the Philippines. We are given a glimpse as to who holds about 80 to 90 % of our nation’s wealth. However in comparison to the entire region, the Filipino richest are actually the “poorest” among its Southeast Asian neighbors. Compared to others in the same region, the Riches Filipino combined together had the smallest net worth, ($16 billion) the fewest number of billionaires (only three) and the lowest minimum net worth ($25 million) Nevertheless these Filipinos are the envy of their countrymen. Others look up to them as their inspiration. It is interesting to note that only a handful of them have inherited their wealth. Most of them started from the bottom and worked their way up until they became what they are today. Take note all of them are entrepreneurs and none made it to the top 10 list by just remaining an employee. Inspire to be an entrepreneur, take … [Read more...]
