My name is Zigfred Diaz and I am a polymath. After more than 6 years of bloging about almost anything under the sun and having sort of a "blogging identity crisis." You must have missed a lot last July 26, 2010. You another day written in the history books. Last July 26, 2010 President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III  gave his first State of the Nation address (SONA) Most of the SONA was delivered in Filipino. A full transcript of the original State of the Nation Address (SONA)  as delivered by President Aquino was featured here. The English version of President Aquino's SONA was also featured last time. Whew being president is tough ! If I were president I'd get a massage every night and buy myself a good massage table. English translation of President Noynoy Aquino’s 2010 SONA

Last Monday, July 26, 2010 our beloved President, President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III  or popularly known as "P-Noy" gave his first state of the nation address or SONA. The intention of the SONA is to get the legislative support of congress in order that the president's agenda for the country might be fulfilled. Aside from that the President also laid out to Congress what how will realize his campaign promises, what is his platform of government and how Congress can help him achieve this. Majority if not all of the SONA was delivered in Filipino, so most foreign dignitaries there were there listening were probably just scratching their heads. As one news paper put out, the only thing they probably understood were the applauses. :-)  Anyway it was a great SONA and I love how our president spoke plainly and straight from the heart. This coming Monday, July 26, 2010, all eyes will be glued to their television sets and the entire Philippine nation will literally come to a halt as people will be listening to President Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino’s 2010 State of the Nation address. (Or Commonly referred to as the Noyoy Aquino SONA 2010) on television or in live streaming through the internet, or probably wait for the videos uploaded to youtube or the various video sharing sites. This is the first SONA of President Aquino since assuming office last June 30, 2010. What makes this SONA very special and very well anticipated is the fact that the office of the president has declared that the SONA of President Aquino will have “shock and awe value” as it will reveal “shocking” anomalies aside from the depletion of the P1.54-trillion national budget and calamity fund. Beer company proves that Albert Einstein is wrong about teleportation

If you are a science fiction fan, you would know what I am talking about. Star Trek Buffs call this as “Beam me up Scotty” while other science fiction fans closely associate teleportation with the “Star gate.” For the uninformed a more concise definition is given by Wikipedia which defines Teleportation as “the transfer of matter or energy from one point to another, at speeds faster than the speed of light.” The realization of teleportation technology would certainly revolutionize the way we live, much like how computers has revolutionize the 20th century. Imagine a world where there will be no more need for mail or cargo services, no more need even for cars, trains or even airplanes. No more dreaded time sitting in an outdoor furniture in airports, bus stops, boat and bus terminals. We will be able to go where we want to go near the speed of thought ! JAVA versus .NET clashes in JAVA 4 EVER the movie !

Forget the browser wars, the operating system wars and even the PC vs. Mac war. Now a an interesting war is brewing up and it’s between two formidable opponents. Microsoft Corporation’s Microsoft.NET vs. Sun Microsystem’s Java ! For those of you who aren’t geeks or aren’t geeky enough, Java and .NET are developer tools. (Kind of like hammer and saws for carpenters) Some software (not sure about scanning software) do not run properly if you don’t have Java or .NET installed. Just like the browser wars, the O.S wars and the computer wars, people from both camps (Java & .NET) are insisting in the superiority of their tool and are fighting over who should be the industry standard among other things. The battle has been so fierce that the two computing giants, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems have fought in court over this.
