I’ve added the latest Warren Buffett book to my collection bringing my Warren Buffett book library to a total of 14 books. They say that there are about 200 books on Warren Buffett, so I have 186 more to add to my Warren Buffett book library whahahahha ! ? I have three passions when it comes to collecting items. These are pins, artifacts from another place or culture and you guessed it a Warren Buffett book ! Lately, I had become a fan of Warren Buffett and I have searched far and wide for materials to add to my Warren Buffett book collection. Last month, I wrote a post entitled "How Warren Buffett made me poor." You might want to check that out. My parents just arrived from the United States and I asked them to bring me some pins and some Warren Buffett books. They brought three with them; those are “The Snowball – Warren Buffett and the business of life” by Alice Shroeder, “Warren Buffett and the interpretation of financial statements” by my favorite Buffetologist, Mary … [Read more...]

Yepeeyyyy !!!! (Using my feet to clap in midair) I just found out that I am one of the five “lucky” winners of the Cebu Pacific Blogging challenge ! I learned about the Cebu Pacific Blogging challenge last September 2008 when I attended Wordcamp Philippines. The mechanics were simple; write a post with a minimum of 200 words about places that are destinations of Cebu Pacific flights. There were other requirements as well such as linking to the Cebu Pacific website, etc. Click here to read my winning entry entitled “A brief escapade at Forest Camp and Dumaguete City”! Nothing fancy about it, its just that perhaps the judges found out that I am more handsome than the other participants (whahahahahaaa !!!) The other winning entries wrote about Bohol, Davao, General Santos, and Palawan. The prize given in the Cebu Pacific blogging challenge is a free roundtrip domestic airline ticket to any destination of our choosing. However I am sure that people will be all over the internet looking for a more up to date Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton vs. Paulie “Magic Man” Malignaggi youtube video or a streaming video of the fight. I am not very familiar with Paulie “The Magic Man” Malignaggi . (Add to the fact that his family name is not very easy to remember) However a quick search in the internet reveals that he has an impressive 25-1-0 record. The veteran Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton is quite a familiar face. He has more experience than Malignaggi and holds a very impressive 45-1-0 record. He is quite familiar with the Philippine crowd as our very own Manny Pacquiao is rumored to be matched against him sometime in the future. I think this … [Read more...]
My 2008 U.S elections experience
It was a cool sunny day in Sun Valley, California where I started to line up to vote in the U.S elections. People were starting to line up to cast their vote. I was number 30 on the line sandwiched between an African-American woman who read a book while waiting for the queue and a blonde who kept on calling her cell phone. Poooooffff! I was just day dreaming. Seriously, I never lined up to vote in California. I wish I did, but I couldn’t because I was in Cebu City, Philippines when it all happened. Despite the distance, technology has somehow made a way to let me feel the euphoria of the U.S elections. The Cebu Blogger’s society through the efforts of Political blogger Kevin Ray Chua got invited to observe the U.S elections. I woke up early since I have to have my annual physical checkup courtesy of my insurer, Philam Life. (They want to make sure that they won’t loose money so they keep on checking my health condition regularly hehehehe?) After spending an hour or more at … [Read more...]
