My good friend Claire S. Quiray a stock market analyst informed me that she will be conducting a stock market seminar in Cebu this coming April 21, 22 and 23 at the Baseline Complex Restaurant, Juana Osmena Cebu City, Cebu. Unlike most stock market seminars which only focuses on Technical analysis, this series of seminars presents a good balance between fundamental analysis and technical analysis. With the inclusion of Seminar 3, Claire takes this further by going deep into fundamental analysis as she introduces the companies in the Philippine stock exchange, their management and other things you need to know about the companies you are investing in. To me this is the brief yet most comprehensive seminar that strips away the academics and the hard to understand jargon behind investing in the stock market. This no-non sense series of seminars gives you a practical down to earth knowledge on how to invest in the Philippine stock market. The first seminar is on technical analysis … [Read more...]
Remembering the last seven words of Jesus and His crucifixion
Today is known as crucifixion day or “Good Friday.” Christians today from all over the world, take time to pause, reflect and remember the death of Jesus in the cross. Churches hold services and ministers usually preach on the last seven words of Jesus. The crucifixion of Christ has become such a familiar subject to all of us that even if we “remind” ourselves about it every year by remembering the last seven words of Jesus, we sometimes fail to really grasp the pain and the agony that Jesus went through in the cross at Calvary. However even if we did not actually witness the actual crucifixion, the Bible gives us a really graphic depiction of the events in Calvary and this is more than enough for me. Every time I meditate and reflect on the crucifixion, I feel humbled thinking that the Son of God has given his life for me. Fortunately for us in the 20th century … [Read more...]

Good Friday is traditionally acknowledged by most as the day that Jesus Christ was crucified. Black Saturday is when Jesus was still in the tomb. Lent ends with Easter or Resurrection Sunday, which is the day in which Jesus rose again from the grave. For some people Lent means having a long vacation. This is not only a religious holiday, but a non-working holiday in most predominantly “Christian” nations. For us in the Philippines we have non-working days from Thursday to Saturday, well traditionally Sunday is also a non-working day for most business establishments. Because of the long holidays, people go on vacation, … [Read more...]
