Use of multiple-choice questions A seismic shift in the format of the bar examination is the forthcoming use of multiple-choice questions in the 2011 bar exam. This is patterned after the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE) given in the United States which consists of multiple-choice questions. The evident purpose of using MCQs is to make more objective the correction of answers. Appreciation of answers to standard problem-type questions tends to be subjective and parity in grading standards is far from guaranteed. Now we continue with part 4 of this essay. Now the solution might sound crazy for being too obvious but empowering people by giving them real purchasing power such that their consumption will place them above the poverty line seems to be the only variable in the multidimensional problem wherein we can really make a big difference. Consider this, the one thing that first world countries have as compared to third world countries is bigger domestic consumption. This is made possible because of a larger middle class. First world countries have a large middle class because they have higher wages, in contrast third world countries have a little or no middle class because wages are low. Support and sponsor a child in the Philippines
A family strives to survive to provide a better and satisfying life. The father, as the breadwinner, earns less in carpentry to support the needs of the family. The mother, a housewife, tries to find a job to sustain their financial needs. Working as a house helper is the only means of getting employed. They are renting in a small room. They do not have electricity and they get water from the well. The family depends much on the father’s income. What he earns is spent on their basic necessities and that alone could not send their four children to school. Two of the children were able to study until grade two. The eldest, sixteen, is helping his father in carpentry. While the second child, aged eleven, stopped schooling due to inability of parents to pay her school fees.
